Donations

Needed!

For Grocery Garden, we like to try to supply our clients with more than just food.  Many are in need of personal grooming products such as shampoo, deodorant, razors, feminine products or toilet paper.  We have recently accepted a large donation of dish liquid and household cleaner.

We would like to extend the opportunity to churches, individuals and businesses to assist us in our efforts by either donation these types of items to our cause or by making monetary donations.

To do so, call us at 330-829-9294.

Also, we can always make use of plastic store bags.

The Feinstein Foundation Challenge 2010

13th Annual $1 Million Giveaway to Fight Hunger

This year will be the 3rd year that the Alliance of Churches Inc. and their associates participate in a challenge put forward by Mr. Alan Feinstein of Rhode Island and the Feinstein Foundation.

The 1 million dollar will be divided proportionately among all agencies complying with the challenge rules, with a minimum of $250 and a maximum $40,000.  Checks will be mailed by August 1st, 2010. The challenges over the previous 12 years have raised 1billion dollars for over 200 agencies nationwide

In the past we have raised much money and food for our food bank. We would like to know who will be participating with us by no later than January 30th, 2009.

Donation pledges received from March 1st to April 30th including cash, checks, and food items (valued at 1$ per item or pound) can be counted as long as they were obtained for use from this challenge

Help the Alliance of Churches Inc., food bank be a partner in this most successful grassroots campaign to fight hunger in families in need. Any help you can give, whether in cash, checks, or pledges, or food items (valued at $1.00 per item or pound), will enable us to receive still more from Mr. Feinstein.

God bless you for what ever response you choose to make and please send any donations to the Alliance of Churches, Inc., 405 S. Linden Ave., Suite 106, Alliance, OH  44601

For more information check out the Foundation’s website, www.feinsteinfoundation.org, it includes information concerning the 2009 challenge.
